Note: John Mark's desertion of Paul and Barnabus was during their first missionary journey. The split between Paul and Baranbus over whether to take Mark on the second missionary journey, occurred in about 46-50 AD. Paul wrote 2 Timothy while he was in prison in Rome (about 66-67 AD) at the end of his life (2 Timothy is the last letter Paul wrote that is included in the Scripture).
